Is it wrong that I'm obsessed with movies?
Rephrase that...WE are obsessed with movies-- meaning me and my husband.
That makes it a wee-bit harder. WHY? Because, one of us can't be like...
"Lets do something else for our date."
"Maybe we shouldn't spend $20 like every other week on movies..."
I might be exaggerating a little, but not really. We've seen a lot of movies lately.
We make a goal to make sure we are going on dates, because when you have a baby for some reason dates kind of take the back seat....hahahah For some reason.
It might have something to do with the fact that...
- Your curfew turns into 7:30
- It's not okay to bring a 18 month old into movie theaters/quiet restaurants
- You spend all your money on Costco sized diapers and wipes
Another thing..we got rid of our TV like 6 months ago. So you know all those red box dates? NON EXISTENT. Having no TV makes it hard to watch movies at home....and our computer doesn't play DVD's. It's weird. We bought a freaking good computer, and it wont play DVD's? I'm confused. Something to do with an app we have to buy and we just wont do it.
Anyway......point of this entire post is:
I just saw Frozen, and I love it. If you follow me on Facebook (which I'm assuming whoever is reading this...follows on facebook -- because it's the only way I show I blog, and I know only my friends and family read this..haha) you know that I'm obsessed. Am I sorry that I've been talking about it for 2 days? Nope.
Long story short...I'm a Disney NERD. The fact that Scott and I have been married 3 years, and we've been to Disneyland 3 times...says something. Luke is 18 months old and he's been TWICE. Yeah. Wow. We love Disney.
Disney nailed it with this one. Two singing princesses and a freaking talking snowman that is hilarious? Yup. I'm a fan.
Idina Menzel is also Elsa's voice..who could be mad about that? Kristen Bell is also one of my favorites..so maybe this movie was just made for me.
Scott says he feels sorry for Luke because I love princesses so much. Sorry, son.

Well you were raised on Disney Princesses. You grew up during the time the Micheal Eisner was resurrecting Disney. We had Beauty and the Beast. The Little Mermaid. Pocahontas. The lion King. Tarzan. Such great movies. You were lucky. Those have turned into classics. This generation has to muddle through some mediocre movies to find great ones that can compare to those. I am glad that Frozen does. We needed a new Disney MUSICAL.
ReplyDeleteFrozen was FANTASTIC!!! I LOVED IT! I'm pretty much obsessed. It was truly charming. ALSO, Neil and I love movies as well but the Carmike theater over by the Riverwoods has a $5 Tuesday deal. All day, all tickets, $5. That's what we do and it saves a few bucks. We should all go together some time!
